Part time - 18 hours per week, preferably five afternoons

This is a great chance to join a voluntary organisation based in Edinburgh as an Administrator/Bookkeeper. Working in a small and friendly team, responsibilities will include using Sage Line 50 for month and year end accounts; using Sage Payroll to handle the administration of wages and year end procedures such as pension payments; maintaining databases and information systems; dealing with enquiries; preparing invoices; ordering stationery and providing day to day administration support to the Manager.

Previous experience of using Sage is essential, and knowledge of HMRC and OSCR legislation is desirable.

HR Manager, £30,000-£35,000

Responsibilities include: to maintain and develop the HR policies and procedures; to advise the senior management on the impact of new legislation, developments in HR, etc; to issue employment contracts, changes to terms and conditions and documentation to staff; to advise line managers and/or deal with HR issues, such as absence management, performance monitoring, disciplinary and grievance procedures; to advise staff on pay and benefit issues, such as maternity or paternity leave and pay, sick pay, holiday entitlement or retirement issues; to assist with the recruitment of new staff; to calculate, and process the input for the monthly payroll (which will continue to be processed by an external payroll bureau), including payments to casual and temporary staff, overtime and extra-curricular payments; to calculate and process all salary changes; to prepare and process all tax, pension and other payroll related returns.
